Joining the Midwest Contingency Planners can be a smart move for you and your business. Because businesses that participate in this group promote, educate, share and work with each other so your business can be more confident in it's resiliency efforts. Here are the top 10 reasons why you should join our organization.
We discuss current issues facing our industry and you are free to take or leave what is presented. We are not responsible for your actions or those of our presenters, we provide the opportunity, you decide the validity and applicability to your organization. We welcome speakers to bring new topics.
As a new member of the group you may be listed in the member's only directory and can have the opportunity to ask confidential and probing questions with the knowledge they will be held in confidentiality by other members. We are not in competition, we are in partnership with others.
You can increase positive perception among consumers and business owners when you’re identified as a member of MCP. If you make it known what your product or service does to help oour profession you could wind up with a very nice flow of business from your fellow members. As a business you also have the opportunity to sponsor us and / or events to gain visibility and respect with our members.
With a MCP membership, you can reach potential clients through educational presentations and sponsorship of events. Reach out to any board member to suggest topics or to volunteer to speak on a topic!

MCP typically holds four training sessions throughout the year. These usually occur on the second Tuesday of the third month of each quarter (March, June, September, December) but could change as circumstances warrant. The December meeting includes a holiday lunch for paid members or for $25 for non-members. MCP events are innovative and fun ways to help members meet others sharing a like interest.
Our fundamental mission is to educate and help prepare our communities and businesses. We do not actively promote x vs. y, we just present facts and let you make your own decisions on what suits your needs best. Earn Credit Towards Your Certification(s) If you need credit for taking training to maintain your professional certification MCP meetings can be a great place to get it. And even more points if you volunteer to speak on a topic!
Stay current with industry developments and gain new insights into ways of doing all things BCP. Members sometimes share key findings and new ideas from industry meetings that you may have missed. The last several years we've partnered with DRJ to give away a FREE DRJ Conference pass to one lucky MCP member during our December meeting!
